“I didn’t do anything wrong”: the documentation from Britney Spears’ arrest was revealed

After the arrest of Britney Spears last March, the release and the plea deal that recently closed the case, the police car camera footage from those moments has now been revealed.

The incident occurred on March 4, when concerned drivers reported a vehicle zigzagging wildly on the road. When the officer managed to get the famous driver to stop, after he said she initially ignored the emergency lights, he smelled “an odor of an alcoholic beverage” and picked up a glass of wine in the cup holder. But Spears refused to get out of the vehicle, claiming that she felt that her space was being “invaded” and that she was being “harassed”, declaring: “I have the right as a woman not to get out of the vehicle”, while insisting that “I did nothing wrong”.

When asked if she had been drinking, she admitted to having one mimosa a few hours earlier, but insisted she was completely in control: “I can probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you. I’m an angel.” She even rated her level of intoxication as “0 out of 10”, although she admitted to taking a cocktail of prescription drugs that day that included Adderall, Prozac, and Mictal. Throughout the incident, officers described Britney as having extreme mood swings, going from confrontational and irritable to docile and outgoing, restless, and even began speaking with a British accent at times.

At one point she explained that she didn’t want to get out of the car because there was too much traffic on the road. When the cops politely suggested going somewhere quieter down the road, Brittany responded with her own bizarre suggestion – she said she lived really close by and invited the cops to just drop by to eat lasagna and take a dip in the pool.

The drama took a turn when a police officer tried to explain the seriousness of the situation to her and warned her that if she killed someone by driving under the influence, she would be charged with murder. Brittany didn’t hesitate, and shot a painful jab at her mother: “Yes, sir, I know. My mother accidentally killed a man on a bicycle… but I’ve never done that before.” She referenced a 1975 incident in which her mother, Lynn, struck and killed a 12-year-old boy. Britney didn’t stop there, wondering aloud how her mother got away with “everything,” adding that her mother had tried to kill her, too. During the arguments she also called herself “stupid” and asked the policeman not to take advantage of her stupidity.

After failing a sobriety test, she was tied up and completely broke down. In the recording, she is seen crying hysterically, begging the police not to leave her alone and asking someone to sit with her in the car. Just before they took her out of the frame, she still had time to ask under pressure if they took her phone, and the police reassured her that it was left in her purse. Although in the breath tests at the station she breathed 0.05 and 0.06, below the legal limit in California – the officers required a drug detection specialist test.

As you may remember, earlier this month she signed a plea deal in which the drunk driving section was canceled and changed to “reckless driving involving alcohol”. She was sent to 12 months of probation, she was prohibited from possessing non-prescription drugs, and she spent three weeks in a rehab facility – which she left earlier than expected, even though her relatives hoped she would stay for more than a month.
