Actor Brad Pitt62, opened Esquire magazine in an interview about the difficult years associated with a long divorce process actress Angelina Jolie.

Over the years, the former couple’s six children have become estranged from Pitt, and they have also reportedly given up using the Pitt surname. Three of the children are adopted.

Pitt told the magazine that he has never had suicidal thoughts.

“However, there was a short period of time during which I couldn’t see a way out, the pain was so crushing,” says Pitt in an interview with the magazine.

According to Pitt, the difficulties were related to “family issues”. He admitted that he is privileged, but still things have not been easy for him.

Pitt and Jolie were married between 2014 and 2016.

Jolie filed for divorce after the alcohol-related incident. According to Jolie, Pitt had abused her and the couple’s children on a private plane on the way from the United States to France in 2016. The children were between 8 and 15 years old at the time.

Pitt spoke openly about his alcohol addiction and recovery last year as an actor Dax Shepardin Armchair Expert on the podcast. He described the divorce as having forced him “to his knees.”

“I tried everything and everyone that was offered to me,” Pitt said on the podcast Vanity Fairin by.

Pitt told in 2020 his friend, the actor Bradley Cooper’s helped him get sober. Pitt was sober for seven years.

Now he uses alcohol again, but in moderation. He said he could have a few shots of wine.

“I can’t drink a lot. I have to be professional about it,” she told Esquire.

Pitt and Jolie fought over the custody of their children and their joint property for almost eight years. They reached an agreement at the end of 2024.

Pitt has been working continuously for the last two and a half years.

The film will premiere in the fall David Ayerin guided by Heart of the Beastin which he plays a former special forces soldier.
