From Tampere sarjakuvataiteilijan Taneli Kempin the lost original works have been found, reports Kaleva.
The works disappeared in Julywhen Kemppi sent them by post to the exhibition organized in Valvee, the cultural center in Oulu.
Kemppi sent 20 original, hand-drawn pages from his debut work published in 2025 Between layers. The work was nominated for Sarjakuva-Finlandia.
After the pages were lost in the mail, Kemppi sent yet another shipment through Matkahuolto. That shipment didn’t reach its destination either, so the exhibition relied on prints. Matkahuolto’s shipment was delivered later.
Tuesday On August 11, the pages sent via Posti were also reported to have arrived in Oulu.
“Posti has apologized and stated that the address information in the letter was absolutely correct,” says Kemppi.
The reason for the disappearance is unknown, but according to Kemp, it is being investigated. However, he does not need to deal with the matter further.
“The main thing is that they were found.”
Kemppi can’t yet say through which channel he will send the works next time.
“It’s generally rare that works are hung on behalf of the author in an exhibition,” he says.
“I usually take the works to the place myself.”
