The three paintings stolen in March from the Magnani Rocca Foundation have been recovered

The carabinieri of the provincial command of Parma and of protection of cultural heritage, during searches delegated by the prosecutor’s office, recovered the three paintings stolen in March: “Tasse et plat de cerises”, pencil and watercolor on white paper measuring 380 x 490 mm by the post-impressionist artist Paul Cezanne (estimated value of 6,000,000 euros), “Les Poisson”, oil on canvas measuring 40 x 51.5 cm by the impressionist artist Pierre Auguste Renoir, signed and dated lower right “Renoir 1917” with an estimated value of approximately 3,000,000 euros; “Odalisque Sur La Terrasse”, color aquatint on paper (velin d’arches) 63 x 91 cm overall by the modernist artist Henri Matisse with an estimated value of 20,000 euros. The investigations are still ongoing. The works were stolen last March 23 from the “Fondazione Magnani Rocca” museum in Traversetolo. (WATCH THE VIDEO)
