The magician Juan Tamariz dies at the age of 83

The magician Juan Tamariz died this Tuesday at the age of 83 at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, as confirmed by his daughter and illusionist, Ana Tamáriz, who said goodbye to him “with immense sadness” and defining him as “an incredible person, very loved and admired by everyone.”

“Very grateful for all the love he gave me and for all the love of Magic that he gave us,” she stated through a publication on ‘Instagram’ collected by Europa Press, in which she highlighted that “her memory” and “her immeasurable work” will be “always with us.”

During his extensive career, Juan Tamariz was awarded awards such as ‘Magician of the Year in the United States’, ‘World Card Magic Champion’ and ‘First Prize for Professional Magic’; and has presented different shows throughout Spain, and in cities such as Chicago, Tokyo, Paris, London, Bogotá, Cairo, New York and Santiago de Chile.

He has also published numerous book publications, for professionals or for the dissemination of magic, being considered internationally for his works on magic theory as one of the most important.
