Muere a los 89 años Alicia Hermida, la actriz que dio vida a la entrañable Valentina de ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’

The Madrid actress Alicia Hermida has died this Wednesday morning at the age of 89, in a nursing home in Villanueva de la Cañada (Madrid), where she lived with her husband, also an actor Jaime Losada.

This is how she has made it known to AISGE (Performing Artists, Management Company), an entity that collects and distributes among actors, dancers and stage directors the rights that the Intellectual Property Law attributes to them. Alicia Hermida was member number 1,619 of AISGE.

After announcing the death of the Madrid interpreter, the copyright management entity has recalled that Alicia Hermida received the Todo Una Vida award from the Union of Actors and Actresses in 2017.

The actress made her debut on the theater scene in the 1950s and in the cinema with ‘Maribel and the strange family’ (1960). In 1999 she was awarded the Max Award for best supporting actress, for her role in the version of ‘Divinaspalabras’ (Ramón María del Valle-Inclán) directed by José Tamayo.

Alicia Hermida will be especially remembered for her role in the Spanish Television (TVE) series ‘Cuéntame qué pasa’, where she gave life to the endearing Valentina. “Goodbye Alicia! We are dismayed by the death of our colleague, friend and teacher Alicia Hermida. Our Valentina who made us enjoy so much, laugh, fall in love, dream and remember that, at any age, at any time, life deserved the worth living”, they have written from the profile of the series on Twitter.

The farewell to Alicia Hermida, as reported by AISGE, will take place from 5:00 p.m. this Wednesday, at the funeral home on M-40, Avenida de los Rosales, 36.
