It’s terrible – Ekstra Bladet
Nikolaj Lie Kaas, like the rest of the world, is concerned about the war in Ukraine and at the same time is convinced that this is only the beginning of a long conflict.

Nikolaj Lie Kaas smiled big on the red carpet for the gala premiere of the new Netflix film ‘Against The Ice’ in the Dagmar cinema in the heart of Copenhagen on Sunday night.

However, the smile faded quickly when the Russian invasion of Ukraine came up – a topic that makes the wrinkles of concern appear clear in the 48-year-old actor.

– It’s a big question for them … I think a lot of things about Ukraine. I think we’ve only seen half of it yet. I think the heat will be turned up well – or down if it has to be about gas, he said seriously.

– I think it’s a conflict that has just started, and it’s terrible. But we have to see what happens, it continued.

However, there were not only serious mines on the red carpet that, as usual, were packed with stars who were looking forward to watching the film with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

Nikolaj Lie Kaas can also delight his fans with a new feature film, which he participates in with, among others, fellow actor Paprika Steen, although he can not yet reveal too many details.

– The film is about being parents and having children in a class with everything that belongs to, for example, school intras and parents who have their own agenda in relation to receiving special care for their children. There is a good conflict in all of that because parent meetings can sometimes be a nightmare. But I have only a small role in it, he said.

But that was not the only thing the actor had up his sleeve for the attending press.

– I am also going to direct my own TV series, which I have written for TV 2 and Zentropa. We’ll start on it in a month, and it’s a cross between comedy and drama, said Nikolaj Lie Kaas, hastening to add that he must say no more before moving on to the screening of ‘Against The Ice’.

It will air on Netflix on March 2nd.
