It was already a bit surprising that the former Liberal politician Kristian Jensen in 2019 told that he was to divorce after almost 21 years of marriage.
The reason for the sunken marriage, however, was the most astonishing. The divorce was due to a love affair with the Danish singer Pernille Rosendahl.
Since the publication of their relationship, the couple has been very quiet in the media, but Pernille Rosendahl now puts into words what it has been like to fall in love with a married man.
It happens in an interview with Eurowoman.
– I’m not proud of that. There is a shame over it, and love has therefore at no time been flourished. Because our relationship is born of forbidden love, the best thing we can do is be quiet. And to stay together, says Pernille Rosendahl to Eurowoman.
Love flourishes
So the relationship has not only been a dance on roses since the turbulent start. And the best the couple, according to Rosendahl, has been able to do has been to be quiet about the relationship in public and to stay together.
Kristian Jensen’s divorce, however, made the love for Pernille Rosendahl a lot more complicated, as the choice to become a publicly known couple has especially had consequences for Kristians Jensen and his ex-wife’s children.
Pernille Rosendahl also has a son, Tristan, from a previous relationship with the musician Johan Wohlert.
Despite Pernille Rosendahl’s shame about the complicated love, she has no doubt that it has been the right decision to find together with Kristian Jensen.
– I have found a boyfriend who really supports me a lot. He is really unique and has that gene where he jumps to and is there, she tells Eurowoman.
