At the Colosseum archaeological park “visitors went from 9 million and 312 thousand in 2022 to 12 million and 212 thousand in 2023 with an increase of around 24%. So it’s a great success. In general we have an increase in almost all Italian museums and our archaeological parks but the Colosseum stands out in this figure together with Pompeii and the Uffizi. Culture can be a great factor in socio-economic development”.
The said it Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano who this morning visited the Colosseum archaeological park, open on Easter and Easter Monday like all state museums, galleries, areas and places of culture.
“I am here to ideally thank all the workers of the Italian museum system who – underlined Sangiuliano – by providing their work on this day of celebration, make the usability of our extraordinary assets possible: archaeological parks, museums. I thank them for their civil passion that they put into their work”.
