The first Meeting of Emerging Theater Companies will address the problems of the sector in Condeduque Madrid

He I Meeting of Emerging Theater Companies presented by the Union of Emerging Professional Performing Companies, in collaboration with the SGAE Foundation, will address the problems of the sector at the Condeduque Madrid Contemporary Culture Center on April 10, 11 and 12.

The cycle of meetings, which is also organized by the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain and the RESAD of Madrid, aims to be a space for meeting and reflection, as well as the “vindication” of a more solid and stable young theater, as explained by the SGAE in a statement.

Thus, the event will feature the participation of the theater companies Bestiario, Giradas Producciones, La Chivata Teatro, LaPercha Teatro, Mudanzas López, Paroxa and Producciones Kepler, who will dialogue with each other and have the opportunity to show their work.

In addition, company representatives will be able to share space with some representatives of Spanish theater companies such as Celso Gimenez (The Tristura), Miguel Rojo and Hernanddo Herráez (The Barbarians), Eusebio Calonge (La Zaranda), Jesus Muñoz (Floating Bridge), Juan Canas (Ron Lalá) and Julio Hidalgo (Golden Century Foundation).

Specifically, the First Meeting will open on Wednesday the 10th at 10 a.m. with forty-minute samples from the groups La Chivata Teatro, Kepler Productions, LaPercha Teatro, while in the afternoon, one of the round tables will take place that will address identity and will be moderated by the members of The Barbarians, Miguel Rojo y Javier Hernando Herráez.

Then, on Thursday, April 11, the Condeduque will host the collective exhibitions Giradas Productions, Bestiary y Paroxa, and at 6 p.m. there will be a talk on the theatrical market, moderated by Celso Gimenez of The Tristura.

Finally, on Friday, April 12, the last day, the First Meeting of Emerging Theater Companies will close this edition with the official presentation of the Union of Emerging Professional Performing Companies (UCEPE).
