'Inclusive art', the exhibition to give visibility to the creativity of people with disabilities

A total of 25 artists with intellectual disabilities participate in the VII edition of the ‘Inclusive Art’ exhibition, organized by the Randstad Foundation, the Amás Foundation, the Aon Foundation and LOEWE Perfumes. The exhibition will take place at the Blanca Soto Gallery in Madrid (Calle Almadén, 16), from April 9 to April 30.

This exhibition, whose objective is to encourage the promotion of art and culture and give visibility to the talent of artists with intellectual disabilities, brings together 39 works from different disciplines: 20 paintings, 6 sculptures and 13 photographs. These pieces, which will be for sale during the exhibition, are the work of artists belonging to Fundación Amás.

One of the participants is the artist Marisa Martínez, who participates for the first time in ‘Inclusive Art’, although her works have been shown in other exhibitions and she knows what it is to sell her art. “Painting inspires me to express my feelings, my emotional state, and with great tenderness give a focus of bright and wonderful colors,” he said, while demanding greater visibility for people with intellectual disabilities in their artistic role.

For his part, Luis Bolaños, who faces his third edition as an artist in ‘Arte Inclusivo’, has explained that painting relaxes him. “I work with colors, I like to paint by splashing and with other techniques such as the sponge. I like that people like what I paint and I also like to sell paintings,” the artist indicated. For Bolaños, painting has been a discovery: “I like art. Before I only dedicated myself to making pieces in the center, I would not change my previous occupation for my artistic work.”

Mariano Hernández, who is also making his debut with a proposal in which he has experimented with an intense combination of colors, explained that he feels “joy, happiness, and pride” in being able to materialize a proposal that reaches the Blanca Soto gallery, and that he is looking forward to Share it with your family and friends.

The exhibition reaches this VII edition under the direction and organization of the gallerist Blanca Soto, who has proudly expressed her commitment to providing her space to exhibit the talent of these artists, giving them the opportunity to publicize their work full of creativity and sensitivity. through this medium. “Our intention is to dignify and value other forms of creativity through art,” she said.

For her part, the director of the Randstad Foundation, María Viver, has shown her admiration for the artists and her satisfaction at being part of an exhibition that is consolidated every year. “‘Arte Inclusivo has been promoting the artistic talent of people with disabilities for seven years, a purpose very much in line with the work that we, at the Foundation, do every day to achieve a society where inclusion is real and in all areas of life. life,” said Viver.

The general director of the Aon Spain Foundation, Pedro Tomey, has also shown his satisfaction with the seventh edition of ‘Inclusive Art’. “For the Aon Spain Foundation to have promoted this collaborative project 7 years ago is a tremendous pride, not only because it means providing new opportunities to artists with other abilities, but because it opens new horizons on our path towards a more inclusive society, with art and culture as a common thread”, he explained in this regard.

In this sense, he added that “art unites us, and with each new edition of the Inclusive Art exhibition we consolidate the fulfillment of our mission of building a better world.”

LOEWE Perfumes joins the seventh edition of the project, consolidating four years of continuous support. “This commitment reflects our firm purpose of promoting art as a means to encourage the full participation of people with intellectual disabilities in society and in business.
