Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel movie, lost his future Marvel jobs due to the verdict.
American actor Jonathan Majors was sentenced on Monday, April 8 to a suspended prison sentence by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbarin of abuse. Majors was convicted in a trial held in New York in December and faced up to a year in prison.
Immediately after the verdict, Marvel Studios announced that it would end its cooperation with Majors. Majors, who played the character of Kang the Conqueror in 2023, was also supposed to star in future Marvel films.
The issue has been reported by, among others, a British newspaper The Guardian and a news channel CNN.
The judgment came from a dispute that took place in March 2023. According to Grace Jabbar, Majors attacked her in the backseat of the car: hitting her on the head with an open palm, twisting her arm and breaking a finger.
