Cultural events at the Mohammed bin Rashid Library

As part of its keenness to spread knowledge, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library announced a diverse program of events and workshops during the current month of April.

Its activities begin with a session discussing the book “Human After Modernization” by Sharif Arafa, in cooperation with the Reading Club and moderated by Dr. Jihan Mahmoud, organizes a creative workshop for children on making animated films with director Zainab Jabr.

The library celebrates “World Heritage Day” with an evening of poetry and folk stories from the heritage of the Philippines.

The library, in cooperation with the Cinelio Company, will present a series of cinematic screenings of a group of short films from around the world.

The library also holds a “Communication and Communication Skills” workshop, in cooperation with the Dubai Toast Masters Club, and is managed by the writer and professional trainer Maher Al-Husseini. The library, in cooperation with the Association of Social Media Pioneers, presents a poetry evening, with the participation of a group of Arab poetry figures, greeted by the Emirati poet Ali Al-Khawar and the Saudi poet. Ali Al-Sabaan.

Among the library’s activities is organizing a workshop, “The First Book: A Character’s Birth Record,” which will be presented by the Egyptian novelist Ahmed Murad, where he will discuss the creation and development of fictional characters, and a dialogue session on entrepreneurship and the first steps in launching small projects, which will be presented by the Emirati entrepreneur Ahmed Al Zarouni, owner of “A Leader’s Legacy” book.

At the end of April, the library intends to organize and open a distinguished exhibition entitled “Arab Press,” which reviews the history of journalism in the Emirates, the Arab region, and the world.

The library will participate in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which is held this year during the months of April and May, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
