The activities of the Dar Al Zein Festival, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, continued at the Al Ain Zoo, which runs from April 12 to 21, where the artists Yara and Fouad Abdel Wahed performed the concert, amid wide public interaction, and the audience enjoyed the songs presented by the two stars.
At the beginning of her speech, the artist Yara expressed her happiness at her presence during Eid al-Fitr in the country, and her participation in the ceremony organized by the department, referring to the distinguished concerts that she performs in the city of Al Ain, which usually receive wide interaction from the public.
She pointed to the two new albums, the first containing Lebanese and Egyptian songs, and the second including a collection of Gulf songs, both of which she considers to be distinctive albums in terms of lyrics, melodies and arrangement.
The artist, Fouad Abdel Wahed, began his speech by offering congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Eid to the state and its people in general, and to the readers of “Al Khaleej” in particular. He also expressed his happiness at being in Al Ain to share the joys of Eid with the people through the ceremony.
He added that when preparing for a concert, he usually specifies the songs that he presents to the audience on stage, but he rarely adheres to them, as he is sometimes forced to add some from his new and old albums, according to the audience’s requests.
Regarding the role of social media in increasing the spread rates of his songs, he said that he relies on choosing distinguished work in terms of words, melodies, etc., and good work imposes itself whether on social media or elsewhere.
The festival was very popular with families due to its programs and activities including activities suitable for all family members, live entertainment shows, interactive workshops, carnival rides, exciting games, film screenings, and food, in addition to providing many services that visitors need.
It is noteworthy that the second concert, which is being organized within the activities of the Dar Al Zein Festival, will be performed by artists Nassif Zaytoun and Mohammed Al Shehhi, on April 20.
