Theater director Alexander Zeldin: Work show at the FIND-Festival Berlin – Kultur

Given that Alexander Zeldin is about to become one of the most important directors in European theater, he first shows a stunning understatement in the conversation: “Thank you for your interest in my work.” This is more than British politeness. It is the approach and concentrated interest in the other person that makes his productions so special, with their simultaneously laconic and warm-hearted observation of people and situations. The Festival of International New Drama at the Berlin Schaubühne (Find) is currently showing a small exhibition of the work of the 38-year-old British author and director. At this important theater festival, which always opens the mind and heart, one could see Zeldin’s first guest performance in Germany three years ago, “Love”, one of the three productions in his “Trilogy of Inequality”, which made him famous.
