Vetusta Morla announces a temporary “break” after the summer tour: “We wanted to say it yesterday but someone counterprogrammed us”

The band Vetusta Morla announced this Thursday that it will take a “break” and plans to reunite in 2026, after finishing its summer tour. “Yesterday we wanted to share this with you, but someone counterprogrammed us,” the group joked in ‘X’.

“About a year ago, in the final stretch of the ‘Cable a tierra’ tour, the six of us made the decision to take a break. There will be no two-year tour as we usually do, there will be no big venues or Christmas concerts. Yes “Everything is going well, we will get together again in 2026,” the group said.

In this sense, Vetusta Morla assures that the level of musical and extra-musical demand is “sometimes sick.” “We need to move away to strengthen ourselves. It is a matter of health,” says the group, which adds that they try to protect themselves day by day from the human “stinger” that is the industry and what surrounds it.

Furthermore, the band adds that at the end of May their new album, ‘figurantes’, will be released, which they claim has arrived “with the stealth of those who are not expected to be protagonists and go unnoticed.” “No plans around, no strategy other than sharing what excites you. There will be no ringlets or fireworks. There will be no video clips or exclusives. But there will be songs that break the bank, at least for us, and that are worth being shared live,” he indicated.

Soon, as Vetusta Morla points out in the statement, they will share a final preview of a song called ‘Ay, Madrid!’. “Until then, we will see the action from other places, we will push on other projects, we will dedicate our time to enjoying and taking care of our people, installing more washing machines. In short, living and enjoying life,” the statement concludes.
