Natasha St-Pier responds to Inès Reg in TPMP: “We cannot exploit racism”

When there is no more, there is still some. After her victory in “Dancing with the Stars” this Friday, April 26 in the evening on TF 1, Natasha St-Pier was the guest of “Touche pas à mon poste” on C8 this Monday evening. And inevitably his conflict with Inès Reg was invited onto the set, while the comedian was present at the same time on the set of “Quotidien” on TMC.

“It’s hilarious to see that the disagreements continue even after the end of the program to the point of both reappearing on TV at the same times,” chuckles a keen observer of the media world. “This double invitation highlights the rivalry between TMC, from the TF 1 group, and C8, from the Canal + group. After the candidates, it’s the channels that are getting involved in psychodrama now,” analyzes another. “Natasha said yes to Cyril Hanouna’s invitation because the presenter supported him throughout the duration of the show, he keeps saying every night all the bad things he thinks of Inès Reg », slips another press officer.

Natasha St-Pier therefore arrives on C8 at 8:45 p.m., while Inès Reg arrived on TMC a few minutes before. “We don’t have number 2, nor number 3, but the winner,” laughs Cyril Hanouna, congratulating her for choosing “the first talk in France,” tackling his opponent in passing, “Quotidien” .

” It’s a crazy thing (to win the competition), and it’s great because like my Victoire de la Musique, it’s the public who chose,” says the Canadian singer in the introduction. “And the public is never wrong,” replies the presenter who adds: “This year, it’s crazy, we’ve never talked so much about the show” After playing extracts from his performances on the floor , Cyril Hanouna made him comment on the elimination of Inès Reg and her partner Christophe Licata by the public in the middle of the show last Friday.

“At that moment, I didn’t tell myself that I was going to win, I had planned to go to the 4th or 5th bonus, and things turned out differently. By dancing at all the awards, I had the impression of having already won,” comments, with a smile, Natasha St-Pier, who returns to the beginnings of the altercation with the comedian: “I did an unfortunate joke, I went to apologize and that’s when she was very aggressive, she made scary comments, it was violent for Anthony (Colette, her partner) and me. I cried and thought things were going to get better and they didn’t. There were no specific death threats from Inès Reg, there were very threatening words, she was speaking and her entourage was around. »

“We cannot insult and be threatening in this way”

Why did she remove a handrail? “Inès Reg no longer wanted to meet me in the same premises and when I wanted to meet her again a few days later, I was told that it was not a good idea. »And to specify that Inès Reg also asked him to lie. “We are in a country where we can leave a handrail just in case. She asked me to make a denial, but the police are not a game.” How did the other candidates react? “I felt supported and understood, and all the professional dancers managed to be present with Anthony Colette. »

Hurt by the accusations of racism concerning her, Natasha St-Pier sets the record straight, as she has already done in our columns. “I don’t think we can exploit racism, be wrongly accused in a suggested or defined way, it’s dangerous. I don’t want to suffer the wrath of fanatics who believe lies. »

Cyril Hanouna then made the singer react to Inès Reg’s accusations, made a few minutes earlier in “Quotidien” on TMC. “She thinks you premeditated everything,” says Cyril Hanouna. “It’s imagining that I can imagine his reactions, for me, things would never have gone further than just: I do not want to talk to you anymore. But you can’t insult in this way and be threatening in this way. »

“We didn’t know each other before, we won’t know each other after”

Visibly embarrassed, Natasha St-Pier said with a sigh: “It’s sad. » And added: “I have no power to influence, neither the public, nor you Cyril Hanouna, everyone has their free will. » At the end of the competition, Inès Reg did not bury the hatchet. “She didn’t come to congratulate me, I didn’t expect her to. »

Finally, the C8 host asks him “any last words for Inès Reg? » “We didn’t know each other before, we won’t know each other after. And in life, I think that when you are happy, everything is fine. This is my mother’s mantra: Aime, because when we love, we see beautiful things,” she concludes with a broad smile.
