Tickets for the traditional May Day party organized at Korjaamo on Tuesday were sold in four different categories.

Tickets for the event were sold in four different categories: for the beginning of the evening from 18:00 to 22:00, for the end of the evening from 22:00 to 05:00 and tickets for the entire evening from 18:00 to 05:00. On Monday HS toldthat the cheapest tickets to the event cost only one euro and the most expensive 60 euros.

On Wednesday HS received several contacts regarding the event.

Helsinki Jani Kurki had bought an all-night ticket for the event, for which he paid 30 euros. He was supposed to meet his friends inside the event, who had gotten in by queuing for 1.5 hours.

Kurki arrived in line a little past one in the morning. According to him, there were about 100 people in line at that time. Kurki waited in line for 50 minutes, during which the line hardly moved at all.

“Both from the group in front and behind, there were people at the front of the queue wondering what the hell was going on.”

The doormen had said that you can enter as long as someone comes out first.

Of everything despite this, there was a surprisingly calm atmosphere in the queue, describes Kurki.

“People were in groups and talking. A couple of people laughed in disbelief that it couldn’t be like this. But there was no super negative or especially angry atmosphere at that point.”

Kurje was supposed to participate in the event for the first time. He had bought the ticket on the recommendation of friends who participated in the event last year.

About the event did not leave a good taste.

“I assume that there was a good mood inside, but it is said that it would require an improvement in trust [ostaa lippu tuleviin tapahtumiin]. To know that next year you can get in with a purchased ticket.”

“Technically speaking, you probably would have gotten in if you had waited two or three hours, but I don’t think that fulfills the purpose of the advance ticket.”

30 euron a person from Espoo had also bought a cheap advance ticket Daniela Fredman. He participated in the event for the first time.

He and his friends arrived in line at midnight.

“There was a long line at the time, but we thought that this should be done when everyone has tickets.”

However, the orderly supervisor quickly announced that the event was full.

In single file according to Fredman, it was “a really good feeling”.

“But there was such general dissatisfaction,” he adds.

According to him, many also got tired of waiting in line and went home, because it was already so late.

Fredman and his entourage stayed in line and finally got inside at around two o’clock in the morning. Inside, a confusing surprise was revealed: the bar was completely empty.

Since it was late, people started going home in droves, according to Fredman. He himself had originally thought that he would head home around two o’clock at the latest.

On left a disappointed feeling.

“It didn’t match the 30 euros that was paid for.”

Fredman has not heard similar stories from his friends who participated in the event before.

HS did not reach the organizer of the event on May Day to comment on what happened.
