France Inter columnist Guillaume Meurice is suspended by Radio France after repeating his comments about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, AFP learned from reliable sources. At the end of October, the comedian compared the head of the Hebrew state to “a kind of Nazi”, thus triggering a controversy which lasted several weeks.
“There are things we can say. For example, if I say Netanyahu is some kind of Nazi but without a foreskin, that’s fine. The prosecutor, he said it’s good,” said the columnist on the air on Sunday, in reference to the recent dismissal of a complaint against him accusing him of anti-Semitism.
