Nuit des Molières 2024: Vincent Dedienne rewarded again, Cristiana Reali finally crowned

Bernard Pivot, the “Read King”, died this Monday. It is quite natural that France Télévisions, which served as his cultural kingdom for decades, dedicated the 35th night of Molières to him, which was held at the Folies Bergère this Monday evening. An evening full of emotion and joy, obviously, over which two queens reigned. Caroline Vigneaux, first of all, imperial mistress of ceremonies from start to finish, mixing humor and commitment in her own way… And then Cristiana Reali, crowned actress of the year in private theater for her role as Blanche DuBois in “A Streetcar Named Désir”, by Tennessee Williams, directed by Pauline Susini and which plays until May 25 at the Bouffes-Parisiens (II arrondissement). Finally. The seventh nomination was therefore the right one for the actress.

“Cristiana couldn’t be there, she’s filming, it’s a shame she’s not there, because it’s the seventh time,” exclaimed her director as she went to collect the trophy… But the actress had prepared a video. Not allowed to say thank you – the rule of the evening – so she shouted “Obrigada” (thank you in Portuguese) to everyone to the background of samba music… And appeared at the end, a crown on her head!

A third Molière for Vincent Dedienne

Vincent Dedienne receives the actor’s statuette in the private sector for his masterful performance in “A Straw Hat from Italy”, staged at the Saint-Martin theater and broadcast this Friday by France 5. This is his third Molière , he has already obtained two in the humor category. A category in which the victory goes to Sophia Aram for “The World After”.

In the public theater, it is Micha Lescot who takes the crown of actor for “Richard II” and Vanessa Caihol that of actress for “Courgette”, the only award for the play adapted from the novel by Gilles Paris which nevertheless had seven nominations. The list, moreover, seems to have wanted to distribute the rewards among the favorites, five shows each receiving two prizes and no more.

So out of its six chances for statuettes, “The Circle of Disappeared Poets” – which is currently triumphant at the Antoine theater (Paris 10th) – transforms two of them, that of private staging for Olivier Solivérès and male revelation for Ethan Oliel. The moving “4,211 km”, by Aïla Navidi, on the exile of Iranians in France, had four. He received the Molière for private theater – best show – as well as that of female revelation for Olivia Pavlou-Graham.

The award-winning “Spamalot” musical show

Two nominations, two Molières, it’s a hit for the twisting “It’s not easy to be happy when you’re doing badly” which won the Molière of comedy and its author, Rudy Milstein, that of the living French-speaking author . It can currently be seen at the Lepic theater. Just like the “Gonna love it!” », Alone on stage by Eva Rami, who receives the Alone on stage prize.

Another double for “40° sous zero”, in the public theater, which received the Molière for best show as well as that for directing for Louis Arène. Finally, “Neige”, by Pauline Bureau, receives those from young audiences and visual creation.

Jeanne Arènes in “The Mirror Effect”, by Léonore Confino, won the Molière for supporting role. The same goes for Guillaume Bouchède in “Je m’appelle Asher Lev”, which can be seen at Béliers Parisiens (18th century).

As for the rewarded musical show, the victory goes to “Spamalot”, the Monty Python show that Pierre-François Martin-Laval staged last school year.
