On the death of Walter Kappacher: Calm unrest – Culture

Walter Kappacher was a walker and hiker, a stone collector and dreamer, but above all a writer who mastered the constant rejuvenation of traditional forms. He has now died at the age of 85.

Inside this reader and great author there was a passionate young motorcyclist, an apprentice in a car repair shop, a dropout from drama school, a young adult who worked for years as an employee in a travel agency, a walker and hiker, a stone collector and a dreamer who recorded his dreams. And there was a child inside him who had experienced the war.
