Perfectionists, long-sighted people or overly sensitive people… are groups with personality traits that easily stimulate anxiety mechanisms, stress the brain, and over time are prone to anxiety disorders.
Anxiety disorder is a condition of chronic, uncontrollable stress that becomes a burden that hinders daily activities, affecting mental and physical health. The disease can be caused by factors such as genetics; Personal factors: personality, poor adaptability; External factors: death of a loved one, change of living environment, difficulties at work, family conflicts…
Doctor Hoang Quoc Lan, clinical psychologist, Phuong Dong General Hospital, said the typical symptom of the disorder is excessive, prolonged anxiety. For example, the patient is overloaded with thoughts, constantly thinking over and over about small situations, unable to stop thinking, even when resting, accompanied by rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, dizziness, feeling about to faint or completely lose control. The patient avoids social situations, is afraid of crowds, is afraid of speaking in front of class, avoids difficult tasks because of fear of failure or ridicule; Always pay attention to your surroundings, fearing danger.
People with anxiety disorders also have sleep disorders, wake up in the middle of the night, have a fast heartbeat, and have nightmares. Some cases include stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, muscle tension, and shoulder and neck pain. They constantly seek reassurance from others or turn to alcohol, sedatives or addictive behaviors (games, social networks…) to temporarily relieve anxiety.

Below are 7 types of people susceptible to anxiety disorders, as follows:
Perfectionist
A perfectionist has the characteristic of always wanting everything to meet the “absolutely perfect” standard, even if it’s a little wrong, they feel like a failure. For example, if you write a wrong word in an email, you have to open it and read it again dozens of times, just to make sure “everything is okay”. This is called the anxiety mechanism, which means the brain is always in a state of tension because of fear of making mistakes. This causes pressure to accumulate and, over time, can easily turn into anxiety.
People who worry too much
Overthinkers often imagine the worst scenario, “before we even take a step, we’re afraid of falling”. This causes the brain to imagine too much risk, believing that real danger is coming, triggering an anxiety response.
People who are overly sensitive
Highly sensitive people are often easily influenced by other people’s emotions and words, easily hurt even by an unintentional sentence. For example, even a slight comment can make them think and lose sleep all night. This causes the nervous system to react strongly to stress, causing the goat to fall into a state of anxiety or low self-esteem.
People like to be in control
Control freaks only feel secure when things go right and cannot tolerate surprises or changes. For example, going on a trip with a 10-minute delay can make them frustrated and lose interest for the whole trip. Meanwhile, life is inherently difficult to control, when situations that deviate from plan occur, they easily fall into panic.
People often blame themselves
Self-critical people have the characteristic of always looking at their own mistakes and rarely forgiving themselves. For example, just because they say the wrong thing in a meeting, they blame themselves for several days in a row. This makes them always live in a feeling of guilt and low self-esteem, the brain constantly sends signals “I have a problem”, over time it is easy to develop anxiety and depression.
Dependents
Dependent people often lack confidence when making decisions and always seek reassurance from relatives or friends. When they go to the doctor alone without relatives, they are so worried that their hands shake. This activates the anxiety mechanism that when lacking reassurance, they feel empty and insecure, easily falling into panic.
People who have had family trauma
People who have had family trauma grow up in an environment of stress, violence, lack of love or too much pressure from family. These old injuries cause the nervous system to always be in a state of “high alert”, easily panic, and overreact even to small situations.
