Consuming gluten-free foods to lose weight?  This is your mistake
Gluten is one of the proteins of the wheat, which glues the ingredients of the dough so that the air is not released during the rising and the pastry becomes airy and rises nicely. Gluten doesn’t make you fat, doesn’t stick to the intestines, doesn’t cause any health damage, but only in people who have been found in blood tests and medical tests to be sensitive to gluten, the rest of the people have no problem consuming and there is no reason to pay more for gluten-free products.Nevertheless, there are those who detox from gluten as a method to lose weight, because those who stop eating cakes, pastries, breads, pastas, cookies, borax and other fattening carbohydrates save a lot of unnecessary calories. But the method does not necessarily contribute to weight loss, it is possible to reach a very high calorie consumption even without gluten, if you eat a lot of dried fruits, nuts and potatoes.

All the more, the people who are smart and buy gluten-free pasta, gluten-free waffles and gluten-free bread from the shelves of celiac patients should know that all of these have more calories than the usual products because they are heavier and denser, and certainly do not contribute to weight loss.

In any case, there is no problem putting together a balanced and even healthier menu without white or even wholemeal flour. Bread and wheat are not a necessary ingredient in our diet, and there are many even healthier substitutes. I’m even in favor of giving up white flour and white sugar, but without anything to do with gluten.
