5 fruits that help your skin stay healthy and beautiful from the inside

Eating pomegranates, grapes, and lychees are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to help your skin slow aging and be healthy and beautiful.

Pharmacist Do Xuan Hoa, Medical Information Center, Tam Anh General Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, said many people only care about the impact on the outer skin surface with cosmetics. However, to have healthy and beautiful skin, you need to sleep on time, get enough sleep, and exercise every day. Prioritizing eating good fruits also helps nourish the skin.

Pomegranate, especially red pomegranates, rich in vitamins C, K, E, folate (B9), minerals and powerful antioxidant compounds such as ellagic acid and polyphenols. These nutrients inhibit melanocytes proliferation, reduce melanin pigment production, slowing down the aging process for youthful, even-toned skin.

Pomegranate essence also has the ability to protect against sunlight and remove toxins from the skin. Thanks to this, the skin is better protected against the effects of UV rays, enhanced regeneration, recovery, and plumpness.

Lemon Contains large amounts of vitamin C, which contributes to limiting the harmful effects of free radicals on the skin, promoting collagen production, thereby reducing signs of aging and controlling hyperpigmentation. Two important minerals, calcium and magnesium, found in lemons help maintain healthy skin and prevent damage caused by oxidative stress.

Grape Contains the antioxidant resveratrol that protects the skin from the effects of UV rays and slows down the process of skin cell degradation, keeping the skin youthful. The large amount of vitamin A found in grapes stimulates skin cell regeneration, new collagen fibers, reduces wrinkles and prevents acne scars.

Lychee fruit Rich in antioxidants, typically oligonol and polyphenol, reduce inflammation, prevent acne, skin irritation, and limit the formation of melasma and dark patches on the skin. Vitamin C in lychees helps reduce dark spots, moisturizes, supports skin tone, and prevents dry skin.

Pineapple (fragrant) rich in vitamins A, C, K and iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium help improve skin texture, reduce dark spots and acne symptoms. This fruit is also rich in the enzyme bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory properties, heals wounds, and maintains healthy, glowing skin.

The skin regeneration cycle takes place continuously, about 28-30 days/cycle. Pharmacist Hoa noted that in order for the skin turnover process to take place properly, the skin needs to be supplemented with a continuous and stable source of nutrients. Each person needs to maintain a balanced diet with a diverse menu of fruits and essential foods such as fatty fish, shrimp, tomatoes, spinach, red bell peppers…

Some essences extracted from litchi fruit (from lychees), pomegranate (found in red pomegranates), lemon power (extracted from lemons), grade seed (from grape seeds), sakura (cherry blossom extract), p.leucotomos (from fern) is easily absorbed and distributed to each skin cell. Thanks to that, the skin reduces the synthesis of melanin pigment, fades dark spots, increases collagen production, and becomes brighter.
