The Ministry of Health reports the discovery of a cow infected with rabies on a farm in the center of Moshav Kfar Yechezkel in the Jezreel Valley. One person who had contact with the sick animal received preventive treatment for rabies.

The Ministry of Health appeals to anyone who has been in contact or whose animals have been in contact with an infected animal or stray animal in the area between April 9 and April 23 inclusive, to immediately contact the Afula Health Bureau at 04-6099000 or the nearest bureau in their place of residence health care to determine the need for preventive treatment.

During non-working hours, you should contact the hospital emergency department.

The Ministry of Health also asks parents of children living or traveling in the specified area to find out from their children whether they have had contact with suspicious animals, and, if necessary, urgently contact a medical facility.

Pet owners are asked to contact their veterinarian to determine their vaccination status.
