10 mistakes that make skin prone to acne and sensitive

Improper cleaning or skin care, overusing cosmetics more than necessary, and anti-aging too early will make the skin susceptible to acne and sensitivity.

Doctor Le Vi Anh, Department of Dermatology – Skin Aesthetics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, explains that acne is a disease of the sebaceous gland hair follicles that is manifested with many forms of lesions such as comedones and papules. inflammation, pustules, lumps, acne cysts… The disease leaves keloid scars, common in men and women during puberty until the age of 30 and 40. In some cases, acne reduces, but in many people the disease still progresses. develops and persists in stages. If not treated promptly, acne can leave permanent scars.

The causes of acne are very diverse such as endocrine, digestive, especially gonads… The role of bacteria on the skin, including staphylococcus, streptococcus and especially Cutibacterium acnes, cannot be ruled out. . These bacteria often live in hair follicles, hydrolyzing sebum into fatty acids, causing irritation and inflammation of hair follicles. In addition, acne can be caused by food allergies, medications or vitamin B2 deficiency.

There are 3 main mechanisms that cause acne: increased sebum secretion, keratinization of the sebaceous gland hair follicle neck and the role of bacteria in the hair follicles.

Sensitive skin appears when the skin’s natural functional barrier loses its ability to protect, the process of water loss between the epidermis is excessive and external agents easily penetrate the skin. When the facial skin is exposed too much to sunlight, UV rays, pollution, some ingredients in cosmetics and cleaning agents will make sensitive skin worse.

Two factors that easily reduce skin beauty and health are acne and sensitive skin. In addition to endogenous factors, there are also objective factors. Therefore, understanding and correcting it early will help make your skin more beautiful and brighter.
