Paris Marathon: the City chooses a new organizer, the ASO group not selected

A revolution in the world of running. While the renewal of the concession for the organization of the Paris marathon has been in play for a year, the ASO file, holder since 1998, was not accepted. The choice of the city of Paris, owner of the half-marathon and Paris marathon brands, was, according to our information, fallen on Cadence, a group made up of Keneo, OSE (organizer of races, including the Paris eco-trail) and an agency of the Havas group.

This choice will be subject to validation by the Paris Council at the end of May, and is therefore not final until then. If the Paris Council follows the City’s position, the organization of the marathon and half-marathon will therefore change hands and return to Cadence from next year until 2030.

A third grouping, made up of Playground, Infront and Oconnexion, was in the running.
