Sky is asking for compensation of up to 1.9 billion euros from Tim and Dazn for the TV rights to Serie A football after the Antitrust in a provision dated 22 December 2025 (published on 12 January 2026) confirmed the “serious agreement restricting competition” in the telco and pay TV market. The AGCM provision concerned the agreement between Tim and Dazn for the rights to the 2021-24 Serie A.
After the first ruling of the Agcm (28 June 2023) and the appeals to the TAR of Lazio (11 May 2024) and to the Council of State (19 June 2025), at all levels of judgment the judges confirmed the existence of the infringement, caused by the famous “Deal Memo Distribution”, signed by Dazn and Tim in January 2021, with which the operator effectively “limited Dazn’s ability to formulate offers potentially suitable to compete with those of one of the main players, such as TimVision”.
