Decision for the group stage: Blue jersey once: Germany’s World Cup outfits have been decided

The German national team only has to wear the blue away jersey once in the preliminary round of the World Cup. The world football association FIFA announced the colors in which the teams will play in the three group games.

Like all other previous world champions, Germany will wear the traditional jersey in their first game, according to FIFA. On June 14th, national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s players will appear in white uniforms with the black, red and gold chest ring, and they will also be wearing black trousers. The same outfit will also be used in the second game against Ivory Coast on June 20th.

Patch for debutants

The wardrobe has to be changed in the final group game against Ecuador. Germany will play on June 25th in dark blue jerseys and turquoise shorts.

Various patches are new on the jerseys. Players playing their first World Cup have a debut patch on their jersey. Other patches are available for former top scorers and best tournament players. Anyone who takes part in at least their fifth World Cup will receive a legacy patch on their jersey.
