Huhkajie’s goalkeeper ends his national team career

Joronen has played 22 matches in Huuhkaj. His national team career will end in Friday’s friendly against Hungary in Budapest.

“This decision has matured for a long time. When you get the privilege of representing Finland for 14 years, at some point there comes a moment when you know that you have given your all and that it is time to do other things in your life,” says Joronen in the press release.

Simpelee’s Urheilijoiden skvastati started his national team career in the youth national teams in 2008. He made his debut in the Huuhkajie A national team in 2013.

At the club team level, Joronen has played abroad for a long time and represented, among others, Fulham, FC Copenhagen, Venezia and now Palermo.

Joronen was part of Huuhkajie’s historic European Championship team in the summer of 2021.
