Cycling: Koch again German cycling champion

Koch prevailed in the exciting final sprint ahead of Liane Lippert. Justyna Czapla, who drove almost 65 kilometers alone, came in third. The strong solo ride was only stopped in the last lap.

Ullrich with a special task

Race observer Ullrich, the only German Tour de France winner, traveled to the title fights because of his son. He took part in the U17 race and finished 16th. “I looked after my son,” Ullrich told MDR. The heat didn’t bother the ex-professional. “I always really liked it,” said the 52-year-old about the weather.
