F1: Another disappointment for Valtteri Bottas – Lewis Hamilton celebrated in front of the home crowd

Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton took the pole in the sprint race on Friday at the British race in Silveston.

In second place was Mercedes Kimi Antonelli. Red Bullin Max Verstappen was the third.

Antonelli took the top spot in the triple section, but Hamilton improved the Italian’s time by 11 thousandths and took his first sprint pole since last year’s China race.

Verstappen, on the other hand, barely rose Charles Leclercin forward to third and dropped this one to square four.

Mercedes George Russellin the sprint qualifying was difficult. He already lost two tenths in the opening sector of Silverstone and ended up only fifth on the starting grid.

Sprint time trials the result was dramatic, as Mercedes were predicted to be early favorites for the legendary Silverstone circuit.

However, Hamilton narrowly grabbed the sprint pole and will start the sprint race at the top in front of the home crowd. Hamilton has won the British race nine times. No other driver has won as many times on the same track.

Valtteri Bottas had to be disappointed again in the sprint time trial. The Finn finished 20th in the first section and one place behind his teammate About Sergio Perez. Perez has beaten Bottas in almost every qualifying session of the season.

The sprint race starts on Saturday at 2 p.m. and time trials at 6 p.m.
