Kasperi Kapanen double salary

Kasperi Kapanen has signed a one-year contract extension with the Edmonton Oilers.

Kapanen’s salary will double from $1.3 million to $2.6 million per season.

Kapanen, who will soon turn 30, moved to the Oilers in November 2024 from St. Louis via the waivers list.

In Edmonton, Kapanen has been an energy attacker in the lower chains and has produced particularly good results in the playoffs. Last season’s balance in the 41 games of the regular season was 8+9 and in the six games of the playoffs 4+2.
