Rashford bids farewell to FC Barcelona: “I’ve enjoyed every moment”

England international Marcus Rashford bid farewell to FC Barcelona on Thursday, confessing that he enjoyed “every moment” and will take “many special memories” with him after wearing the Blaugrana jersey last season, as the left winger expressed on his Instagram account.

“I am very grateful to everyone at the club for making my time here a positive and memorable experience. I have enjoyed every moment and will take many special memories with me. I wish the club and all its supporters the best of luck and every success next season. Visca el Barça,” the Englishman expressed before returning to Manchester United.

FC Barcelona responded to the post, thanking him for everything he has done for the club and considering Rashford one of their own “forever.” Several players from the Catalan club, such as Raphinha, Gavi, Fermín López, and Ferrán Torres, also left messages of support in the comments section of the post.

The 28-year-old player made 49 appearances for Barça during his loan spell, scoring 14 goals and providing 14 assists across all competitions. His contributions helped the team, managed by German Hansi Flick, to win the LaLiga EA Sports title and the Spanish Super Cup.

However, Flick opted for recent signing Anthony Gordon, who played in the last World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada and arrived from Newcastle, to replace and strengthen the left flank. Rashford will return to Old Trafford, where he still has two years remaining on his contract.
