Athletico dominates the squad and has ‘half a team’ of promises in the Brazilian team

The games are part of the team’s preparation for the category’s World Cup, which will be played in November, in Qatar. The Hurricane athletes called up are: goalkeeper Arthur Sehn; full-backs Marcos Pesseti and Arthur Monteiro; defender Murilo Camargo; midfielder Léo Cerci; and striker Bryan Lima.

The first game against Venezuela is scheduled for the 20th of this month, at 11 am. Three days later, the teams will face each other again on the 23rd, at 10 am. This is the third preparatory stage for the selection for the U17 World Cup.

Brazil was drawn in Group I of the World Cup, alongside Ireland, Tanzania and Costa Rica. Brazil’s debut in the tournament is scheduled for November 21st, against the Irish. Until then, Patetuci continues to observe and build a competitive team.

In this scenario, the two friendlies against Venezuela serve as a way for the coach to evaluate the group in the game situation, test different formations and continue the formation of a starting team.

The U17 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 19th to December 13th this year. The tournament will have 48 teams divided into 12 groups, marking the second consecutive edition of the competition in the category in the Arab country under FIFA’s new annual format.

In a similar setup to last year’s contest, the matches will be played at the state-of-the-art Aspire Zone complex in Al Rayyan, on the outskirts of the capital Doha.
