In search of reinforcements for the midfield sector, Coritiba has made an agreement with the experienced midfielder Richard, 32 years old, who is leaving Internacional. The athlete, who has also played for rival Athletico, is terminating his contract with Colorado and should soon be announced as Coxa’s new player for the Brasileirão.
Richard arrives to reinforce one of the positions considered most lacking in the squad led by coach Fernando Seabra. Coritiba had been looking for midfielders in the market since the departure of Willian Oliveira, to Sport, and Wallisson, traded to Mirassol.
This season, Richard has not yet taken the field. Outside of coach Paulo Pezzolano’s plans at Internacional, the player had been training separately from the rest of the squad and had a contract with Colorado until December 2026.
