The German volleyball players have secured their place in the round of 16 at the European Championships. Because Slovenia won 3-2 against Latvia and only got two points, the German team can no longer be pushed out of one of the top four places in Group A.
In the evening, the selection of the German Volleyball Association will meet hosts and defending champions Türkiye. In the last group game, the German women will face co-favorites Poland on Thursday (3 p.m. German time). To get an even better starting position for the knockout rounds, the Germans will probably have to win one of the two games.
