The authors of the new Maksimir are coming to Zagreb: They will present a solution that raised a lot of dust

Their solution, presented at the end of September, caused stormy reactions from some fans and the public. Criticisms mostly related to open corners, separated stands and protection of spectators from rain and wind. Part of the fans also expressed concern about the atmosphere in the future stadium, while the proponents of the project emphasize the fit into the space and the connection with the original Turin architecture.

The debate was recently further fueled by the mayor of Zagreb, Luka Korlaet, with the statement that “the fans can withstand a little rain and the north.” The authors, on the other hand, said that they are following the comments and that many details of the project have not yet been presented. The final look depends on the further elaboration of the conceptual solution.

VG13 is a guest as part of the Veridis Quo program, and on the same evening, through the Mies program in Zagreb, the architectural offices of onze04 from Barcelona and Nantes and Sampling Architects from Riga and Ghent will be presented.
