The Red Star players defeated the Radnički team with a convincing 5: 1 today in Niš, in the game of the 29th round of the Serbian Super League. The triple scorer for the red and whites was Aleksandar Katai, in the 25th, 48th and 61st minutes. El Fardo Ben scored in the 75th minute and Nenad Krsticic in the 86th minute. The only goal for Radnicki was scored by Stefan Mitrovic in the 33rd minute.
With this victory, Zvezda was again tied with Partizan at the top of the table with 78 points, while Radnički is fourth with 40 points.
The red and whites took the lead in the 25th minute with a goal by Kataj with a header from the top five, and after a good cross by Milan Rodić from the left flank.
Radnički equalized eight minutes later with a goal by Mitrović. The player of Radnički escaped the defense of Zvezda and I came out in front of Milan Borjan and scored for 1: 1. It seemed that Mitrović was activated from offside, but Stefan Eraković caught the ball with his head.
In the 41st minute, five minutes after the first, Milan Savić earned a second yellow card and left Radnički with a player less on the field.
After three minutes of play in the second half, Katai took advantage of the crowd in the penalty area and the bad reaction of Radnicki’s defense and brought his team back to the lead.
With his third goal of the game in the 61st minute, Katai practically put an end to this match. Rodić centered from the left side, Katai shot with his head and hit the net, in which he was helped by the goalkeeper Filip Dujmović, who intervened poorly.
The convincing victory of Zvezda in Nis was confirmed by El Fardo Ben in the 75th minute, after the assistance of Kataj, and Krsticic in the 86th minute.
In the last part of the regular part of the competition, the Red Star football players will meet Radnički 1923, while the Niš team will play against Mladost.
