Sinner and Arnaldi in the round of 16 in Miami, Musetti wins

Jannik Sinner and Matteo Arnaldi reach the round of 16 in Miami in the second ATP Masters 1000 of the season. The South Tyrolean, world number 3 and second seed, defeated the Dutch Tallon Griekspoor (25) in a comeback, winning with a score of 5-7, 7-5, 6-1. Matteo Arnaldi beat Canadian Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 7-6 (7). Both Sinner’s match and that of the Sanremo number 38 ATP were interrupted due to rain.

Previously, Lorenzo Musetti, 23rd seed and number 24 ATP, had qualified for the round of 32, defeating the Russian Roman Safiullin, number 39 in the world, 7-5, 6-1. Musetti’s next opponent is the American Ben Shelton, seeded 16th, who defeated the Spaniard Martin Landaluce 6-3, 6-4.
