Verstappen convincingly wins in Japan!  Two drivers crashed already in the first lap

Dutchman Max Verstappen, trainsč Red Bull and the current world champion, dominated another Formula 1 World Championship race and won the Japanese Grand Prix, at the Suzuka circuit. It was the 57th time in his career that the three-time world champion, who has been untouchable for the last three years, won. Verstappen achieved pole position in Suzuka the day before, and during Sunday he sovereignly ruled the track from start to finish for a new celebration, the third of the current season.

The race started with a collision and a duel Daniela Ricciarda i Alexander Albon which ended up in the firewall as a result. The decision was to repeat the start of the race, but even that incident did not affect the 26-year-old Verstappen, who was at the top of the order from start to finish.

Red Bull’s good day was completed by the Mexican Sergio Perez, who was second, while he is a Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr. from Ferrari finished third, which is his second podium finish this season.

Č the fourth place was won by the second Ferrari driverč Charles Leclerc, who improved his ranking twice compared to the qualifications, while Lando Norris, the trainč McLaren.

Verstappen leads the overall standings with 77 points, while Perez is second with 64 points. Then the two Ferrari drivers follow, Leclerc has 59 and Sainz 55 points. In the constructors’ competition, Red Bull has 141 points, while it can only be followed by Ferrari, which collected 120 points.

The best drivers continue their championship at the Chinese Grand Prix from April 19 to 21.
