Toro-Juve 0-0, derby of yawns and no goals

Torino and Juventus drew 0-0 in the derby scheduled for the 32nd matchday of the Serie A 2023-2024. The Bianconeri, third, rise to 63 points. The Granata are ninth with 45.

The match

Juve starts with an aggressive attitude and comes close to scoring in the 7th minute. Chiesa runs to the right and crosses, Vlahovic can hit with his left foot from an excellent position: post. The Bianconeri persisted and in the 13th minute the good ball fell to Locatelli, who missed the target and sent it high. Torino struggled to get forward and also risked being outnumbered due to the blow that Zapata gave Gatti with a distant ball: the referee and VAR did not intervene. In the 31st minute, a third huge opportunity for Juve, again at the feet of Vlahovic. From close range the Serbian shoots but is saved by his compatriot Milinkovic-Savic who saves everything.

To see Torino in attack you have to wait for the second half. Ready, go and the Granata score at the start of the second half. Zapata turns and pierces Szczesny, but the referee Maresca cancels it due to a previous foul by Bellanova on Kostic. Juve suffers from the pace of the Granata and in the 60th minute they have to thank Szczesny, who made a perfect save to block Sanabria’s header, which he smashes towards the Juventus goal. The match dies down and the ending is livened up, so to speak, by the blow that Masina gives to Szczesny. Granata coach Juric doesn’t like the referee’s decision and is sent off. It ends 0-0.
