“Al-Ghabra” and “Al-Khubayb” champions of the “Al Wathba Stallions” race in France

The colt “Al Khabib” and the filly “Al Ghabra” were crowned champions of the Al Wathba Stallions Cup races for purebred Arabian horses, which were held at the ancient Tarbes racecourse in France, under the sponsorship of the sixteenth edition of the His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.

For the first race of the Al Wathba Stallions Cup – the Val d’Adore prize amounting to 16,000 euros, 11 purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above gathered for a distance of 2100 metres, and the filly “Al-Ghabraa” was kidnapped by Mohammed Fahd Al-Attiyah, under the supervision of Thomas Dumello, and led by Julium Goodjay, and after an exciting struggle in Deep Straight, the title in the last throws, ahead by half a length of the colt “Al-Gharf” of the Omani Royal Cavalry, supervised by Elizabeth Bernard, and led by Michael Forrest.

In third place, half a length behind the second, was the colt “Ghassan” Elias of the Horse Racing Department, supervised by Damien Vatrigant and driven by Fabrice Veron.

The second race, over a distance of 1,500 metres, for the title of Al Wathba Stallions Cup – Chris II Prize, with a prize of 16 thousand euros, was distinguished by the participation of 12 purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above. It was also distinguished by its equality and parity, after “Al Khabib” won for Al Shaqab Racing, under the supervision of J. Lemaire, led by Antoine Werl, took the title by 0.75 lengths from “Asma Al Shahaniya” by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, under the supervision of Thomas Forsey, and led by Anthony Crastos.
