Champions: Real Madrid flies to the semi-finals.  Manchester defeated on penalties

Real Madrid beat Manchester City 4-3 on penalties, thus reaching the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday, after the first leg had ended 4-4.

Rodrygo’s opening goal gave the 14-time title holders the lead at the Etihad Stadium after the first leg had ended 3-3.

Kevin De Bruyne put City back on level terms with just 14 minutes left in normal time. After extra time failed to break the deadlock, Antonio Rudiger scored the decisive set piece to send Real into the semi-finals and a clash with Bayern Munich.
