Therese Johaug was given a special contract – Sports

Therese Johaug’s return is inexorably approaching.

To the slopes returned ski queen Therese Johaug has made a special agreement with the Norwegian Ski Federation, reports The daily newspaper.

Johaug, 35, has not yet been named to the national team for next season. Nine skiers were included, one less than before.

“Hopefully the number will round up to ten. We will keep a place open for Johaug”, national team coach Sjur Ole Svarstad told Dagbladet.

This opportunity is only offered to the Olympic champion.

“If Johaug wants to join, it won’t be up to us,” Svarstad promised.

Johaug participated in a dominating style in the Norwegian national games in the spring and winter. There have been rumors about his return to the World Cup and the Trondheim WC tracks for the next season for a long time.

Svarstad trained with the superstar on Wednesday and was impressed.

“I don’t know what Therese is going to do, but she looked determined. He might be good. My heart rate got higher during the training,” commented the coach.

Ski expert Harri Kirvesniemi estimates from the end of the winter that Johaug will “unfortunately” have a terribly hard bone again next winter.

The Norwegian women’s national skiing team has already been selected Lotta Udnes Weng, Mathilde Myhrvold, Julie Myhre, Heidi Weng, Anne Kjersti Kalvå, Tiril Udnes Weng, Margrethe Bergane, Kristin Fosnæs and Kristine Stavås Skistad.
