Women's PSG: dismissal of charges for Didier Ollé-Nicolle after suspicions of sexual assault

Almost two years after the opening of a judicial investigation against X for sexual assault, Didier Ollé-Nicolle has just benefited in recent days from an order dismissing the case. He is therefore exonerated.

Heard in this case under the free hearing regime, without ever having been the subject of a police custody measure, the former coach of the PSG women’s team had to answer for suspicion of sexual assault against a Parisian player.

The alleged facts date back to August 2021 during a PSG friendly match. In this context, Didier Ollé-Nicolle would have made sexist remarks against this young player, a potential victim of a “hand to the buttocks” when she came into play. Several testimonies to this effect appeared in the context of the investigation carried out by the Versailles BRB police officers to shed light on the attack suffered by Kheira Hamraoui in November 2021 and the possible involvement of her ex-teammate, Aminata Diallo.

No fault or failure retained internally

The opening of the judicial investigation in May 2022 pushed PSG to take a disciplinary measure to dismiss its coach and then conduct an internal investigation which ultimately cleared Didier Ollé-Nicolle. In a press release made public in August 2022, PSG indicated that following an internal investigation, no fault or breach had been found against its ex-coach.

Didier Ollé-Nicolle, 63, was however ousted from his position at the end of this 2021-2022 season and replaced by Gérard Prêcheur. As for the player supposedly the victim of sexual assault, she never wanted to file a complaint.

Conversely, another ex-PSG player, striker Kadidiatou Diani, filed a complaint against Didier Ollé-Nicolle last June for sexual assault. But this complaint was dismissed in December by the Versailles public prosecutor’s office for “failure to constitute the offense”.

“Didier Ollé-Nicolle, who denounced from the start of this affair the false nature of the accusations made against him and the exploitation that was made of them, is delighted with these two decisions which completely exonerate him after many months investigation”, rejoices his lawyer Me Guillaume Traynard in a press release.

Two complaints of slanderous denunciation

“He recalls having successively submitted two complaints of slanderous denunciation to the Versailles public prosecutor so that light may be shed on the exact conditions which led to the false accusations of which he was the subject having been relayed to his employer and justice,” adds the Parisian criminal lawyer.

Didier Ollé-Nicolle remains a civil party in the procedure which led to the indictment of César Mavacala, ex-adviser of several major PSG players, of the charge of organized gang fraud, a related aspect of the Diallo-Hamraoui affair. On listening carried out as part of the main part, a desire to oust Didier Ollé-Nicolle from his position as coach could have been expressed, directly or indirectly, by the Mavacala-Diallo duo.
