Van Dijk confirms his stay at Liverpool

Liverpool FC’s defenseman, Dutchman Virgil van Dijk, confirmed that he will remain with his team next season, to be part of the next transitional period that follows the departure of current German coach Jurgen Klopp.

Van Dijk has a contract with Liverpool until June 2025, but rumors have recently circulated about the possibility of him moving to another club.

Van Dijk put an end to these rumors by saying, “There is nothing to discuss in this regard, because there is no news. I think the club is busy with the identity of the new coach and this is the main focus.”

He continued: “As I said, I am very happy here. I love the club and you can see that as well.” “It’s a big part of my life already.”

Reports indicated that Liverpool had reached an agreement with Feyenoord’s Dutch coach Arne Slot without officially announcing it.
