Cuca steals the show in an unusual way in Athletico's rout

The coach Cuca was a character during the match Athletico in Venezuela in two unusual ways. The commander wore the same shirt as Rayo Zuliano coach, Elvis Martínez.

Cuca told the story behind the coincidence. The curiosity was noticed during the broadcast of the match and by some fans on social media. The black shirt has an image of a saint and has been continuously used by the Athletico coach in games.

“As for the coach, the Santa shirt that I promised him back in Brazil, I gave it here. And, to my surprise, he wore it during the match. I’m very happy to be spreading my faith and having a friend who wore the Our Lady’s shirt. Very happy for him too”, said Cuca at a press conference.

Cuca helps fans in Venezuela

Furthermore, the Athletico coach was supportive of some of the club’s fans who accompanied the team at the stadium.

The commander asked the Furacão staff to distribute water to the red and black fans present on the court. This is because there was no snack bar in the visiting sector.

Some fans even had to leave the stadium to buy drinks during the game. The coach’s good deed was published on social media, and the fans reciprocated by shouting Cuca’s name.

In the field, the Athletico beat Rayo 5-1in Caracas, for the fourth round of Group E of the continental competition.
