Valencia Basket dries up Perfumerías Avenida and advances in the final of the LF Endesa

Valencia Basket won this Thursday 48-67 in their visit to Perfumerías Avenida for the first duel in the final of the Endesa Women’s League, stealing the home court factor from the Salamanca team thanks to a superb defensive performance and also the offensive success of Ukrainian forward Alina Iagupova.

The Würzburg Municipal Pavilion raised the curtain for this definitive playoff series, which is played in the best of three matches. And from the beginning the ‘taronja’ team marked the distance, with an accumulated partial score of 8-19 in the first quarter.

Although Perfumerías Avenida took the second period 20-16 and then held their own in the third (15-17), with Leo Rodríguez and Sika Koné having stood out in attack, Valencia Basket dealt a blow to the game following a 0 -15 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Nacho Martínez’s pupils went almost six and a half minutes without scoring, which favored the visiting team to channel their victory with points and more points from Iagupova in the paint. In this way, Valencia Basket will have the option to win the title on May 12 (7:00 p.m.) in front of their home crowd at La Fonteta.
