Roma is now trembling for the Champions League

Genoa beat Bologna 2-0 in the all-red and blue match on the last day of the championship. The Ligurians prevailed with goals from Malinovskiy, who scored in the 13th minute with a surgical left-footed shot, and from Vitor Oliveira, who scored in the 59th minute by cutting in on Gudmundsson’s shot. The victory allows Genoa coached by Gilardino to close the championship on 49 points. Thiago Motta’s Bologna, already qualified for the Champions League, remains on 68 points. The Bolognese misstep risks costing Roma dearly: the Giallorossi, confident of sixth place, would qualify for the Champions League if Atalanta, winners of the Europa League, finished fifth. The Bergamo team have 66 points and have to play 2 games: on Sunday they host Torino, then they will recover the match against Fiorentina. A single victory would be enough for the Nerazzurri to overtake Bologna and condemn Roma to the Europa League.
